The Choristers is a beginning-level training choir for children in 3^rd – 6^th grade.  In this choir, the fundamentals of choral singing are presented and the process of learning to read notes and rhythms is begun.   Head voice tone and accurate pitch reproduction are stressed.  The goal of Choristers is to introduce and practice the following concepts, with the goal of attaining vocal independence:

The Choristers is a two-semester commitment.  First semester starts on Tuesday, August 30, 2011  and every Tuesday thereafter until the fall concert.  Second semester will begin on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 and every Tuesday thereafter until the Spring Concert. 

Readiness checks are held each August and are used to determine the singer's placement in Choristers.  Interested students can register for a readiness check online at Readiness checks.

Tuition is $280 for a two-semester commitment and is nonrefundable.  Additional costs are for uniform, tickets to performances, and any desired professional photos, DVD or CD recordings.
