Amy Waldron has just completed a Master of Music degree emphasizing choral conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Ms. Waldron was awarded a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a vocal performance minor from the University of Kansas in 1998.  While at KU, she studied choral music with Simon Carrington and James Daugherty.  Since returning to the mid-west in 2000, she has sung as a member of the Kansas City Chorale, the Fine Arts Chorale, UMKC Collegium Vocale, Octarium, and The Simon Carrington Chamber Singers.  She has been the soprano section leader for Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral since 2000.  Ms. Waldron serves as the Executive Director for the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers.  She has recently accepted a position to teach 4^th, 5^th and 6^th grade students at Raintree Montessori School and can’t wait to get back into the classroom!  She and her husband Jason have two budding singers at home: Erinn, age 9, and Gemma, age 6, and they all live together with two cats, one fish, one mature dog, and a new puppy.  Ms. Waldron is very excited for the opportunity to reacquaint herself with the choral culture in Lawrence and especially to participate in this wonderful setting under the tutelage of such masters of their craft as are Janeal Krehbiel and Carolyn Welch!
