Originally from southern Illinois, Kevin Hart received his Bachelor's of Music Education from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.  After college he moved to Olathe, Kansas where he taught elementary music and directed the school's choir.  While in Olathe, Kevin sang with the William Baker Festival Singers and the chorus of the Kansas City Lyric Opera.  After several years teaching in Olathe, Kevin began teaching in Lawrence at Pinckney and Wakarusa elementary schools, where he taught for 4 years. 

Kevin became associated with the Lawrence Children’s Choir after contacting Janeal Krehbiel and asking if he could sit in on few rehearsals which eventually led to sitting in on many rehearsals over the past three years.  Kevin is currently the director of choirs at Central Junior High in Lawrence.
