Grades 3-6

Choristers introduces singers to the traditional choral music rehearsal. Emphasis is on healthy singing technique, vocal agility and accuracy, musical expression, singing in harmony, concert preparation and beginning to read printed choral music scores. Music is chosen from a wide range of musical time periods and styles, taking into account the particular ranges and abilities of the child voice.

Entry into Choristers requires a simple audition, designed to ensure that the child has the self-discipline and pitch-matching ability needed to ensure success in the group.

Choristers performs three times per year, with occasional extra events and opportunities, as they arise.
